How to Create IP groups in Microsoft azure.

IP Groups allow you to group and manage IP addresses for Azure Firewall rules. They can have a single IP address, multiple IP addresses, or one or more IP address ranges.

 

  • Login to azure portal.
  • Click on All Services.
  • Select IP Groups.

  • Click on Add option.

  • On Basics tab provide the following values:-

 

  • Subscription: An Azure subscription grants you access to Azure services.
  • Resource group name: A resource group is a collection of resources.
  • Provide the IP group name.
  • Select Region.
  • Click on Next IP Addresses.

  • At IP addresses window,Provide a single IP address,multiple IP addresses,or IP address ranges.
  • There are two ways to provide IP addresses:
  1. Manually provide.
  2. Import from a file.
  • To import from a file, select Import from a file. You may either drag your file to the box or select Browse for files.
  • Then,click on Tags.

  • On Tags Tab provide the tag name and value for IP Groups.
  • Click Next on Review + Create.

  • If you get a message “Validation passed”.
  • Then click on Create.

  • After some time, you will see a message as “Your deployment is ready”.
  • Click on “Go to resources” & You can see that the IP Groups is there with the name we provide.
