How to Create Images in Google Cloud Platform

A custom image is a boot disk image that you own and control access to. Use custom images for the following tasks: Import a boot disk image to Compute Engine from your on-premises environment, or import virtual disks from VMs that are running on your local workstation or on another cloud platform.

 

  • Login to google cloud platform portal.
  • Click on Compute Engine.
  • Select Images.

  • Click on Create Image.

  • Provide the image name.
  • Select Source like Disk,snapshot,an image,cloud storage file or virtual disk. Select a option for a image.
  • If you select source disk,then provide source disk.
  • Select Location Multi-regional or regional.
  • Then click on Add label.

  • Provide the Key name and value for Image.
  • Click on create.
